These chemicals usually don't affect you strongly for several days. I'm assuming you're referring to psilocybin mushrooms, and the "half life" is 3 hours. I would just tell the anesthesiologist about this, but I personally wouldn't reschedule your surgery for this reason.

I would contact your surgeon's office and tell them. This should not be a problem but I would make them aware. Honesty is the best policy!

The psilocybin is not the issue, but the alcohol may be. More importantly, why did you do it? This behaviour isn't just about poor preparation for surgery, but extends to everything in life. You should seriously examine this and try to rectify your thought process so that life can be as good and successful as possible.

If you are drug screened prior to surgery, you may not pass and your surgery may be cancelled. Please call your surgeon's office. Stay off everything, including alcohol, for now.

This situation needs to be discussed with your surgeon who will make the final decision if you can proceed as planned with surgery. For your safety it is important that you are open and honest with your surgeon.
