Moderate profile 320cc, saline implants under the muscle. I replaced my implants which were 25 years old. They were of similar size. These new implants have no fullness on top and fall lower and heavy . The surgeon gave me one right Brest lift instead of both I don't know why but he changed his mind in the operating room. At 61 I was hoping this would be my last breast implant surgery but unfortunately it isn't.
Answer: Implant profile Dear Doramom1, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Implants The higher the profile the more projection and upper pole fullness it will provide. Saline implants look and act like bags of water. I've included a video on the various implant types as well as the pros and cons of each. I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your surgeon as to why the surgical plan was altered.

Answer: Less Upper Pole Fullness Moderate profile implants are not as projecting, meaning they do not stick out as much as high profile implants. While this does not preferentially expand the lower pole, it does give a bit less upper pole fullness, which can generally be described as cleavage. Switching to a higher profile implant is likely to give you more of the fullness you desire. You may also find that going slightly larger on the implants.

Answer: Explant with Bellesoma Method Your breasts are low on the chest wall and the lift was inadequate. At this time, I recommend explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided and nipple sensation (in 95%) is maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: How the type of implant can change breast shape during breast implant revision surgery. Saline implants of any profile tend to create lower pole fullness because the saline implant upper 1/2 is easily compressed by the pectoralis muscle which then shifts the saline to the lower pole. I would recommend you get an in depth consultation with a Plastic Surgeon who performs a lot of revision surgery and who’s results are posted on the PS website. Bring your pre revision surgery photos and the operative report. This way you can get an opinion on whether implant exchange and or bilateral Mastopexy can help you achieve the result you are looking for. Good luck!
