Can you have breast implant exchange through the armpit?

Question

My original incision is in the fold and I hate it. I do not want to cut there again. I am wishing for a breast implant exchange to go bigger can I exchange my old for new with an incision in my armpit of my areola instead? If not then I will probably never get my implants exchange again. I have no complications. Just want to go bigger without using the fold incision.

An alternative would be exchanging the implants through a circumareola incision. This can be used to reposition the nipple-areola complex higher and more medial and at the same time exchange implants.

The armpit incision is limited and carries the highest risks. If the pocket needs to be shaped or capsules removed, it cannot be used. However, you might be able to use the areolar incision.

If you have saline implants from your original surgery then the armpit incision is an option. If not, you can use the periareolar incision for the exchange.

It makes a little sense to add a new incision if you already have a scar from breast augmentation.
Going through the same incision will not make your current score. Look worse.
The answer to your question depends on what type of implants you are selecting.
the trans axillary approach is used for saline implants .
I suggest having a few in person, consultations or follow up with your previous provider.
It doesn’t make sense to add a new scar.
