Hi, I am 6 months post op. I had lipo 360 done in Miami. I’m 5’3 and 127 lbs. some days my stomach is super flat. When I go to work without my faja on, I’m standing and talking most of the time. Once I get home after work my stomach be huge and swollen. I know it’s swelling for a fact. How long does it take for all this back and forth swelling to go away? I’m tired of having to work in a faja.

Swelling post-lipo can persist for months, so it's important to be on the right after care protocols. In addition to compression, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and radiofrequency treatments, lymphatic massage is highly effective in the prevention of fluid buildup, scar tissue, inflammation, and infections. Lymphatic massage also decreases the chance of irregularities, lumps or bumps; accelerates healing and minimizes downtime; and, following a liposculpture procedure, can help further contour the abdominals.

I recommend that my liposculpture patients receive lymphatic massage treatments every day for a week following their procedure; twice per week for the following month; and then once per week until healing is complete.

At 6 months after 360-degree liposuction, it’s still normal to notice some swelling, and it can vary from day to day depending on things like activity and diet. It can take up to 12 months for all residual swelling to diminish and final results to shine through. Consistent use of your compression garment as directed by your doctor, light walking, and staying hydrated all support this process.

Liposuction results are final at three months.

Your body is no longer swollen.

Anyone who wears compression is going to reduce the soft tissues with compression.  this does not represent swelling it represents squeezing out interstitial fluid from the tissues because of continuous pressure.

There’s no indication to wear a compression garments six months after surgery. If you do you will have continued body fluctuations from wearing the compression.

It looks like you have excess visceral fat in your pictures and this is contributing to the bulging of your abdomen. If you’ve had previous pregnancies and this may also represent muscle separation.

Confirm you have not gained weight since Liposuction and this should include the weight of the fat removed during the procedure.

I also recommend you follow up with your provider. He or she is most appropriate at explaining your results or the lack of.

Your results have been final for quite a while now.
