Answer: I'm a 34DD, maybe a 36DD now in Victoria’s Secret pink bras. Is it too small for a reduction? Because of the wide variability in bra manufacturers' cup sizes, the amount of tissue removed does not equate to a particular cup size. Breasts can usually be reduced two "cup" sizes. The gram amount is dependent upon the density of the breast tissue and the volume removed. Set up an in-office consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of breast procedures annually to discuss your goals and the likelihood of achieving them through breast reduction. Locate examples in the PS's on-line galleries which depict the results you are seeking so that you can come to closure about your end goals.

Answer: Bellesoma Reduction At size 34, each 100 grams removed corresponds to 1 cup size change. At 5’0 and 150 lbs, your BMI is 29, which puts you in the overweight category. It is important for the breasts to be proportionate to the body. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reduce and reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying pectoralis major muscle resulting in pain relief without excessive reduction. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast reduction Dear Generous962386, breast reduction is best suited for women who wish to decrease the size of their breasts. While there are different techniques used to perform this surgery, I prefer the vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern, which reduces more noticeable scarring than usual. I also use a SAFE liposuction technique to reduce additional fat around the stubborn axilla area and bra line. This way, my patients are achieving beautiful results with minimal incisions which reduces downtime and delivers an overall better breast shape long term.If you are considering breast reduction surgery, you should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and make sure your surgeon understands your goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Big enough breasts for reduction? Thanks for your question! Given your height and breast size, I think it is likely that you would fit criteria for a breast reduction. However, different insurance companies are different when it comes to the particular criteria (including size of the breasts and other symptoms) for breast reduction surgery. I would encourage you to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon as well as find out more about your insurance company's policy.I hope this helps!Take care,Dr. Lisa
