I am considering a breast reduction and lift, but have been told that my breast meet in the middle and I have symmastia. Will the breast reduction and lift emphasise this more and look strange?

You do not have symmastia.  The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method.  This will reduce and reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.  The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying pectoralis major muscle resulting in pain relief without excess reduction.  Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained.  Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. Although your breasts come close together, you do not have symmastia, which occurs when the breasts are confluent. A breast reduction or lift can be helpful for you. You can reduce the sagging and the size, if you wish. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to review your options. I hope this helps. Based on your photograph you do not have true synmastia and a breast reduction would not pose any particular problem in this regard. You should be able to discuss any specific concerns with your chosen plastic surgeon.

Hello, thank you for your question. You are an optimal candidate for breast reduction surgery as your breast size is disproportionately large compared to the rest of your body frame. The surgery will also help to reshape and recontour your breasts. Very large breasts have the natural tendency to sag or hang low, so breast reduction surgery will lift them up and help them look perkier under tight clothing. The gram amount is dependent upon the density of the breast tissue and the volume removed. No direct correlation exists with cup sizes.

Thanks for your question! I disagree. I do not think you have symmastia. I think that a breast reduction/lift would give your breasts a nice, lifted, more youthful appearance. Be sure to consult in-person with a breast specialist. Good luck!
