I have been weighing the options of breast implant shapes. The overall look that I’d like to achieve is a larger size (D cup size) that has a soft natural look, and I like the weight at the bottom that is achieved with the tear drop shape without too much fullness up top. I am 5’7 and 175 lbs and wear a 36 B bra. Currently my breast are lower and I’d say “on the verge” of sagging. Would the tear drop shape emphasize the sagging? What would be recommended to achieve this look?
Answer: Breast augmentation Hello and thank you for your question. You are a great candidate for a breast augmentation using a dual plane technique without need for a formal lift. The size, profile, and shape of the implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall measurements, and soft tissue quality. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. This entire surgery can be performed with a small incision technique. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACS Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Saggy breasts require lift Your breasts are sagging too far to undergo augmentation alone. I recommend The Bellesoma Method to reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed are maintained. At the same time or later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast implants for breast augmentation size I think the single most important aspect of breast enhancement is to get the best cleavage possible. Going to a C cup usually needs about a 375cc augmentation from a true A cup. The size of the implant is not as important as the shape and projection of the implant. I have 100 different implants you can try on for sizing purposes in my Chester office. Also the Vectra 3 dimensional imaging system can help you understand what you might look like. Also seeing before and afters of real patients by the plastic surgeon you see is important. Good luck...

Answer: Implants plus lift for sagging Your photo shows some mild asymmetry with one nipple lower and more lateral, so a lift such as a Benelli procedure should be considered. If you have it on both sides then the choice of implant shape will depend more on the shape of the breast "footprint." If it is oval then a form-stable implant is the way to go, but if round then go with round implants. They will feel softer and more natural.

Answer: Tear Drop Implants and Sagging Breasts Thank you for your question. Based on your photographs it is unlikely that you will need a breast lift. In my experience high-profile smooth implants or the new Mentor Xtra smooth silicone gel implants improve projection and a my choice to use in patients who have glandular ptosis or minimal sagging that does not require a lift.
