I had Lipo done on Tuesday to 5 areas 3.2kg’s was removed. I am very health and fitness conscious and it’s really important I maintain my weight once the swelling has gone. The day after surgery I weighed 600g more than before (which I expected). How long should I expect the 3.2kg of water retention to disappear so I can have a benchmark to maintain my weight at?

It is to your advantage that you follow such a strict diet and exercise regimen, and this will certainly contribute to your final result. I would use your weight just prior to your operation as a benchmark, and just try not to gain any weight as your swelling results. While much of your swelling will resolve after the first 4 to 6 weeks, it can take as long as six months for all swelling to dissipate, allowing you to realize your final result. Try to stay patient and positive And follow up with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.
