Is the Lumecca the best IPL on the market?

Question

I had a dermabrasian 20 years ago and I've had red cheeks off and on for years I've had regular IPL and it worked great for about 10 days than right back to ruddy complexion is there a possibility the lumecca will be better than the regular IPL.

Hello! If you have had success with IPL in the past you will certainly have amazing success with Lumecca, granted that it is used in the right hands. Lumecca has a strong cooling to prevent overheating of the skin. If you have waited 10 years since your last IPL I would say you are ready for another treatment. Cheers!BestAnil Shah MD

In  my opinion, it is the physician who operates the IPL that is more important than the individual device. Any IPL which has built-in cooling should be adequate in experienced hands. The Physician and not an extender should be performing the procedure.

The technician should do a spot test before performing the treatment on a full area. It is best to be progressive rather than aggressive when performing IPL no matter what machine is being used.
