Thank you for your question. An IPL laser is in excellent modality to help reduce the amount of redness and capillaries on the face. There are several lasers on the market, and the important thing is to choose a surgeon with experience using the laser. An IPL or BBL laser can be set to target the fine capillaries and redness in the face and helped to remove them. It may take several treatments to see a complete result.Be sure to seek out a board certified facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon or dermatologist who has experience with IPL laser. Here you will have a full evaluation and be able to discuss your goals for the treatment. I hope that this helps!–David Job
IPL works great for small little veins on face. The key is right settings on the machine and the company really doesn't matter much. Ask for the clinic's personal pre and post photos to get an idea.
Thanks for your question. We have the same advice for almost any treatment. As long as you are comparing the same technology, the manufacturer of the device isn't usually that important. We recommend finding a practice where there is a physician present during business hours. Look at the office's reviews and years in business. Make sure they can answer your questions and will provide pre- & post-care instruction. We offer a range of treatment options for sun damage that is dependent on your skin type, severity of damage, how much down time you can take and your budget. Best of luck.
Great questions. IPL is a wonderful tool and in my practice, the very best way to resolve broken capillaries and overall redness. It also can, in the same treatment, get rid of age related brown spots, give and overall radiance and the Sciton BBL has been shown to slow skin aging and is without a doubt, the best in class form of IPL.That being said, an IPL treatment is like a car race and both the car and the driver matter. IPL is a very operator-dependent procedure and you want to seek out someone with a lot of experience and training who focuses on light and laser treatments.
I could not agree more with the answer provided by Dr. Eshaghian. IPL is a great treatment for redness and pigment, and can be used for facial rejuvenation, acne and hair removal. These devices all use the same technology to provide results. Look for a provider who has experience and takes care to explain the treatment and expectations. Any IPL device can cause complications (such as burns) so finding someone who knows what they are doing is much more important than the manufacturer of the device.
