Hi guys, I paid for 5,000 hairs FUE (not grafts… hairs) with a reputable surgeon in a prominent practice. I’m now six days post-op, and I can’t see how there is 5,000 hairs there? I thought this at the time so this isn't down to shedding. I’ve included before, immediately after, and next day photos (pre-spray and post-spray.) I really hope I’m wrong because they seemed like very nice people, but I have to check. The surgery was supposed to take a day and a half and it was done in one? Am I nuts?
Answer: 5000 grafts would be a spacial challenge in a small area. Maybe you are mistaking hairs for grafts. 5000 grafts would be a spacial challenge in a small area. Maybe you are mistaking hairs for grafts. One graft may have 1, 2, 3, sometimes 4 hairs.

Answer: 5000 grafts vs 5000 hairs You will were quoted for 5000 hairs which means that you will have had anywhere between approx 1500 to 5000 grafts depending on the number of hairs within each grafts. This distinction should always be clarified in a consultation. Having reviewed the pictures you have had a nice procedure and should get good results which is the main thing.

Answer: FUE: it doesn't look like I got as many grafts as agreed upon -- does it look like I got 5,000 grafts? You specify 5000 "hairs" rather than "grafts". If the grafts containing 2, 3 and 4 hair follicles were counted individually as 2, 3 or 4 hairs, you may well have 5000 "hairs" with only 2000 or so grafts.

Answer: Look like getting 5,000 grafts Density issue is very early to assess, but you may have 5000 hair string that has been transplanted. Transplanted graft’s hair starts to shedding in the first week of surgery and may go on untill 4-6 th weeks after surgery. İt is not surprising to lost approx. %70-80 of all transplanted hair shafts in first month when you are washing, gently rubbing or touching the head. İt is shock loss and not permanent. Even your native hair may affected with that post traumatic transient hair loss…New hair at transplant and donor area starts to grow at 3-4 th month after surgery .

Answer: 5000 grafts? Putting 5000 grafts into that area would be a big challenge. I would think that half of that number would be good enough. I can't count what you had done but ask your doctor for a copy of the surgical record and the count sheet which is part of your surgical record
