Hi guys, I paid for 5,000 hairs FUE (not grafts… hairs) with a reputable surgeon in a prominent practice. I’m now six days post-op, and I can’t see how there is 5,000 hairs there? I thought this at the time so this isn't down to shedding. I’ve included before, immediately after, and next day photos (pre-spray and post-spray.) I really hope I’m wrong because they seemed like very nice people, but I have to check. The surgery was supposed to take a day and a half and it was done in one? Am I nuts?

Answer: Look like getting 5,000 grafts Density issue is very early to assess, but you may have 5000 hair string that has been transplanted. Transplanted graft’s hair starts to shedding in the first week of surgery and may go on untill 4-6 th weeks after surgery. İt is not surprising to lost approx. %70-80 of all transplanted hair shafts in first month when you are washing, gently rubbing or touching the head. İt is shock loss and not permanent. Even your native hair may affected with that post traumatic transient hair loss…New hair at transplant and donor area starts to grow at 3-4 th month after surgery .

Answer: 5000 grafts? Putting 5000 grafts into that area would be a big challenge. I would think that half of that number would be good enough. I can't count what you had done but ask your doctor for a copy of the surgical record and the count sheet which is part of your surgical record
