Do I lose hair follicles 11 or 12 days after hair transplant, if I touch my transplanted area or slowly remove scabs? (Photo)

By day 11 or 12 the follicles are safely embedded in the skin.What you are seeing is probably a crust with an associated shaft of hair,but not the follicle itself.

It is normal to lose transplanted hairs weeks after surgery.  It may take 6 to 12 months to see new hairs grow out.You may need to go back to see your doctor to better wash your scalp.

Transplanted graft’s hair starts to shedding in the first week of surgery and may go on untill 4-6 th weeks after surgery. İt is not surprising to lost approx.  %70-80 of all transplanted hair shafts in first month when you are washing, gently rubbing  or touching the head. İt is shock loss and not permanent. Even your native hair may affected with that post traumatic transient hair loss…New hair at transplant and donor area starts to grow at 3-4 th month after surgery .

this is completely normal --- I have had patients send me a baggy full or these scabs -- no need to worry!

Scabs that shed post op are not the hair follicle. They are remnants of the shaft but the root is still intact.

You have too much crusting on your head which should have been washed off in the first day.  Now as the crust come out (don't pick them) hairs will fall out but the grafts will remain.
