Hair building fibers and concealer are excellent options for camouflage and to give the appearance of thicker, fuller hair. They certainly can be safely used after several months and in general I am comfortable with my patients using them as early as 1-2 weeks post op. Please listen to my top reasons on what can compromise hair restoration results

Answer: Hair building fibers and concealer Yes you can use hair building fibres concealer (Toppik) after 3 and a half month of FUE. The most outstanding reason for poor growth and ineffectual hair restoration results is insufficient number of viable graft placement as a result of intra operative damage of follicular units ( during insertion or high transection rates during harvesting, long time of grafts out of body, dehydratation, poor FU storage conditions like high room temperature and storage fluids etc.)

Answer: Hair Fiber Concealer Thank you for your question. Sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your transplant results. It is hard to imagine that 9550 grafts have been placed. I find the upper limit is 4000-6000 spread over 2-3 procedures. They may be reporting hair fibers rather than follicles. Fortunately, you are not at your end point from your third procedure so you should see some further improvement. There are several factors that go into the success of a transplant procedure including the thickness of your graft follicles, the degree of hair loss, and the condition of the scalp. Steps can be taken to optimize the growth and survival of the grafts including PRP, low level laser therapy, minoxidil, DHT blocking agents, etc. In the end it is important to realize that with significant hair loss, the best that can sometimes be achieved is a camouflage effect. Hair fibers can be a nice complement to achieve this camouflage effect and I use them myself. Appropriate counseling of patients up front usually helps to prevent the disappointment you are experiencing. Once again - sorry to hear of your disappointment - Dr. Moore.
