I have used CoolSculpting to reduce fat in men with gynecomastia and have seen improvement in every patient I have treated.  It can take more than one treatment session to obtain the desired improvement though.  CoolSculpting on the chest would not affect a coronary stent.  The stent would be much deeper than the applicator would reach.

The procedure delivers controlled cooling into the fat cells in the treatment area, crystallizing them so they can be eliminated by the natural processes of the body. It is important to distinguish if the gynecomastia is due to fat or breast tissue as only the fat tissue can be treated by CoolSculpting. The procedure should not work deeply enough to affect your stent. However, make sure you choose a board-certified dermatologist with extensive experience in the treatment. This is a great question. We have treated many male patients successfully whom have excess fat on the breast/chest area using the cryolipolysis technology. CoolSculpting is a targeted fat reduction treatment that should not effect a Coronary Stent, however, it is best to get clearance from the managing cardiologist.

Thank you for your question.  CoolSculpting should be fine when treating near this area.  We have CoolSculpted patients with a pace maker.  Not directly over it but near.  Coronary stents are not a contraindication for CoolSculpting.  It is best to get clearance from the managing cardiologist.  CoolSculpting has been shown to work on this area although CoolSculpting  is off label for gynecomastia in the U.S.

Coolsculpting will not cause problems with your coronary stent, as the coolsculpting machine is treating the subcutaneous fat (fat under the skin). It will not affect the stents that are deep down inside your heart.

Cardiac stents are placed within the coronary arteries around the heart which is further separated from the fat treated with coolsculpting by your ribs and muscles.  So there is no interaction.  The bigger question is whether your 'man boobs' consist of fat or glandular tissue.  Fat can be treated with coolsculpting.  Glandular tissue cannot.  The two cannot be differentiated clinically (by eye).  To know which it is requires visualization for example with an ultrasound.I hope that is helpful.  Best wishes.
