Spreader grafts are supposed to be permanent. Resorption of any cartilage graft can happen in rare cases of infection/necrosis or if the cartilage source/blood supply are unusually problematic. These situations are very rare in modern day rhinoplasty when the standard techniques are used.

There is always an option to try to surgically modify one of your nasal features, however the gentle curves and characteristic junction between the alar rim and cheek is extremely difficult to replicate once surgical manipulation has been performed. Meaning, it would look very strange...

At three weeks post rhinoplasty, your nose is still in a heightened inflammatory state and still very fragile. I would not recommend pressing or manipulating the nose in any way at this time.  I would highly encourage contacting your surgeon with these concerns as they can guide you more...

Thank you for your question.  We advise all patients that they are able to wear makeup after the splint is off and stitches are out, which occurs 1 week after surgery.  Hope this helps.
