Thanks for your question! The pregnant can undo the shape you got with the tummy tuck. I would recommend you to have your baby first. Remember that the tummy tuck is a common procedure to give back the abdomen a shape like it has before getting pregnant. So becoming pregnant again is like reverting the process. Take a rest after giving birth if you want to do the tummy tuck.Have a nice day!
Thank you for your question. In general, I do not recommend patients undergoing an abdominoplasty prior to having children or if there are not done having children. While Under certain circumstances this is done, generally it's best until you are done having children. You may elect to undergo BBL however as this procedure would not be dependent on pregnancies.
Thank you for your question. You should wait until after you have children as pregnancy can "undo" your surgical results.
Thanks for your question! I strongly suggest that you wait until after you've had all your babies. If you have a tummy tuck with muscle repair and then have another baby, there is a possibility that we would need to re-tighten your muscle wall and skin again which is more money and a second surgery. After you've finished having children, make sure you consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to get your best recommendations.Best of luck!!
It doesn't make much sense to have and abdominoplasty if further pregnancies are plan. The benefit of the operation can be largely undone by subsequent pregnancy.
In your situation, it seems you have already decided that you may have another child. It is probably best in a case similar to this to hold off on the tummy tuck until the patient is done childbearing. In some cases, the decision to have a child is made after you thought all of your childbearing was over. A woman in this situation should realize that it is safe to have another child but that results of the tummy tuck may be compromised, and require revision.
A tummy tuck handles the issues that can result from pregnancy: loose and redundant skin, persistent fat, and abdominal muscle weakness. If you were to become pregnant again after the surgery, any or all of these issues could recur. It is generally best to make a decision about future child bearing before going through the tummy tuck. However, should your decision change following the surgery it is still possible to have a successful pregnancy but a tummy tuck revision will likely be necessary.
It is best to wait until you have finish having childrenbefore considering a tummy tuck. Afuture pregnancy will stretch the abdominal wall muscles that have beentightened with the procedure.
Most surgeons, including myself, would recommend that you wait until you are finished having babies before you get a tummy tuck. Pregnancy after an abdominoplasty procedure will negate some of the positive improvements that are gained from the surgery. Also be aware that a tummy tuck revision can be challenging and does not always provide results that are as good as the first time around. This is because the majority of the lower abdominal skin is excised with the first procedure and it is sometimes a challenge to excise all of the lower abdominal skin again with the revision. This could also potentially leave more stretch marks on the lower abdomen. My advice is to make the most out of your tummy tuck investment and wait until you're through having children.
It really would be best to finish having all of your children before proceeding. You will lose some of the benefit of the TT if you become pregnant again. It really is best to wait.
It is uncanny how similar your question is to the one I answered just last week. I am going to attach it here:Yes, the Diastasis Recti can be repaired without performing a full on tummy tuck. BUT, I'm not sure how your results would look after the fact. For instance, a general surgeon...
Thank you so much for your question about blood thinners and your tummy tuck.Properly managing blood thinners around your surgery is very important. It needs to be done by your plastic surgeon and the hematologist or other doctor prescribing the blood thinners. It has to take into consideration...
It is not possible to get free cosmetic surgery unless it is causing medical problems - (ie. breast reduction due to back pain). Best of luck
