Orbital decompression is driving me crazy?

i've been researching orbital decompression surgery since 2014 i'm driving myself crazy coz i'm not sure i it's safe or not -i'm so affraid of the scare plus i can't pay more than 6000 my question is does any doctor anywhere in the world perform the bilateral decompression for 6000$ and do i need a shrink coz ican't think o anything else

Cannot effectively help you in this forum.  We would need more information.  Your best bet is to make an appointment and see about this issue.  As far as the shrink issue, this is a matter that only you can decide.  But my recommendation is first have a surgeon take a look at your problem in person to assess the severity.  Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. The role of decompression surgery depends on many factors including the reasons you are considering it. It can be a very safe surgery and I do about 250 such surgeries per year, but you need to be properly evaluated. Insurance can cover some costs of the surgery for medical conditions but more information would be needed to help answer your question.

Orbital decompression may be performed safely for functional or cosmetic purposes. Small incision lines may be used in strategic locations to avoid visible scarring after the procedure. For a "3-wall" decompression, surgeons may use a lateral canthotomy incision and enter the orbit through a transconjunctival approach.
