Please help. Words can't explain the emotional rollercoaster I'm going through. My nose was what I was ashamed of my whole life. Finally I was able to get a rhinoplasty which was my dream. I was so happy. I kinda liked the shape but I wanted it overall smaller, cuter. A lovely button nose with a round tip, a better version of mine. I am now officially 5 weeks post op and I can't look in the mirror, I get a nervous breakdown every time. Will it look like what I asked for or am I done?

Thank you for your query. It really is too early to judge the results of your rhinoplasty. Swelling is not only common but universal at this stage. It is less if piezoelectric rhinoplasty  was done  Please make an appointment with your surgeon who can  examine you , reassure you and advice some massages and measures to reduce the swelling. Hello, hope you are well. Thank you for posting your photos and questions. At 5 weeks postop, it is too early to make any conclusions about the final result. When the framework of the nose is made smaller, it takes a lot of time for the skin-soft tissue envelope to contract down to the new size (6-12 months). The softest parts take the longest for swelling to go down (i.e. the nasal tip). You can see the general shape, but refinement takes a long time to occur. I advise you wait patiently and continue to follow-up with your primary surgeon while the healing process occurs.

Hello! At 5 weeks, it's far too early to tell the final outcome. You need to wait 6-12 months or longer for swelling to resolve and the shape to finalize. Don't judge it too harshly now. Hope this helps.
