Could I be needing a septoplasty or a rhinoplasty, or both? (Photos)

Question

Hi. When I was a kid, I needed surgery for a blocked airway causing pus leaking from one eye, which my parents declined. I'm 22 and still suffer from sinus issues, nosebleeds and migraines and I'd like to know if a septoplasty could fix that? Would I be eligible? I'd be open to a rhino to fix the aesthetic of my nose too, or would a septo be enough for that as well? I love my side profile but the front of my nose is too large and asymmetric I think. Thanks :)

Thank you for your question. It is possible that you have a septal deviation contributing to some of your symptoms. The only way to know is to have an in-person examination so the surgeon can look at the internal structure of your nose. A septoplasty alone will not change the appearance of your nose. I recommend consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty for an in-person examination and to further discuss your goals. Best of luck!

HelloThe main difference between septopalsti and rhinoplasty is that in septoplasty, no change is made in the external appearance of the patient's nose, while in rhinopalsty, shape corrections are made along with breathing problems.The type of surgery was decided according to whether the person felt any discomfort from the external appearance of the nose or not.Solely septoplasty would ne correct that crookednes seen in photos but solve breathing issues.Best wishes
