George Mireas, MD, PhD

I live in Athens and for some years now I was thinking about making some improvements on my nose's appearance. I visited dr. George Mireas at his private practice in central Athens after seeing his work on his website and youtube. He was very polite and spent more than one hour on my consultation. He showed me a simulation of my future nose by using a 3D device called Vectra, which is made in the USA. He explained to me the whole procedure in detail and told me that he was going to use the ultrasonic piezo device to achieve the best result for my nose. I was really satisfied by his professionalism and how confident he looked about everything. I decided to proceed and we booked the surgery a month later. The surgery lasted around two and a half hours. When I woke up I had only a plastic splint on top of my nose. I could breathe through my nose at once, because dr.Mireas does not use gauzes or any other internal packing things. I left the hospital about six hours later, the same evening. I visited dr.Mireas 5 days after my surgery to remove my splint. The whole post operative period was very easy for me. I took antibiotics only for 3 days and I had to clean the inside of my nose with natural saline and put on a lubricating ointment for a month. The result is very beautiful and I really like it a lot. Dr. Mireas and his staff are making everything easier and smoother. I think my choice was excellent and I recommend him 100% for anyone's nose job.

Dr.Mireas is a great doctor and he has everything you need for your nose job, 3D simulator and ultrasound piezo devices. He delivers natural results and he is undoubtedly the best rhinoplasty surgeon in Greece! I totally recommend him for any kind of rhinoplasty!

To be honest, I was pretty hesitant to have this surgery. I had heard and read many comments about the rhinoplasty procedure that frankly discouraged me from doing it. However, that changed completely when I found out about Mr. Mireas. I booked an appointment immediately. From our very first meeting, Mr. Mireas and his assistant were very friendly and we were welcomed with pleasure. It is also to be noted that the doctor's office is really an exquisite and clean place. I explained to Mr. Mireas why I would like to change my nose but expressed my concerns, too. He devoted a lot of time explaining to me in detail how exactly the procedure was going to be carried out. For example, he described to me what I should do before and after the surgery and more. We both agreed how my new nose would be, always associated with the natural aesthetic that characterizes the doctor's work. After that meeting, my worries and fears vanished and we finally made an appointment for the surgery in March of 2023. As I have already explained in the title, the procedure was totally painless. The staff of the clinic and the doctor were calm and next to me on that day of the surgery without provoking any type of anxiety. After the rhinoplasty, I had to recover for only 6 days since then I visited the doctor again. On that day, Mr. Mireas I took off the external splint and ? finally saw my new nose. I felt a great excitement and joy as the result was really what I had imagined!! It was perfectly fitted in my face! Last but not least, I have to say that I returned to my daily life immediately! As a result, I now have the nose that I always dreamt of, giving me self-confidence. Despite, the aesthetic results, the surgery also benefited me in the functional part of my nose as my breathing improved to the full! I highly recommend Mr. Mireas and I thank him for everything!!! The main problem I had was the bad nasal breathing especially during sleeping and this was the reason I decided to visit Dr. Mireas. I also had an aquiline nose and somewhat large. I booked my appointment with Mr. Mireas, he showed me the inside of my nose with an endoscopy and he thoroughly explained me why my nasal breathing was bad and what had to be done. To be honest I was impressed when I saw my face in three-dimensional display and understood how I will become after my rhinoplasty. Thanks to Dr.Mireas, after my surgery, I can breath normally and my new nose fits perfect on my face and flatters me a lot.

My experience was great. Dr. Mireas is friendly and comprehensive, giving details about the treatment. Responsive and available when needed. Helpful and kind to ensure having a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. Updated on 10 Oct 2023: The whole procedure went smoothly, not painful afterwards just feeling uncomfortable from the swelling. It takes time for the nose to take its final shape but worth the wait. I am truly satisfied with the results.

I finally decided to move forward with a septorhinoplasty last year, and I was researching doctors in Athens that use ultrasonic technology. I stumbled upon Dr. Mireas and was impressed with how natural and unique the results of his surgeries were on his patients. Since my mother and I both had difficulty breathing during sleep and wanted to improve the appearance of our noses, we decided to book a consultation to see if we were good candidates. I live permanently in the US while my family is in Greece, so while my mom was in the office I was conferenced in via web. I quickly decided to book my tickets to Athens and schedule the surgery with Dr. Mireas. We had an in-person consultation a couple of days before surgery to do a 3D simulation of the expected results. We discussed exactly what I was expecting in terms of appearance, and Dr. Mireas explained what was possible and functional for my case. Dr. Mireas does an excellent job in explaining exactly what he will do as well as set expectations. After we came to an agreement on the final look and result, everything was a go. On the day of the surgery, I was in-patient at the hospital for about 14 hours, then I was able to head back home that evening. The first 3 days were very challenging in getting my bearings back. I was able to breathe a tiny bit from one side on day 3, so this made eating and sleeping almost impossible. I had swelling and bruising for about 3-4 days, which then went away. On day 5 I had another visit with the doctor to remove the cast and get the nose cleaned and I was finally able to breathe better. The removal of the cast was easy and painless, but the nose was still very swollen. Dr. Mireas did a great job explaining to me what to expect in terms of my recovery and the stages my nose will heal. I continued to have drainage for about a month, which then stopped. My nose started to take shape and get more and more refined at 3 months, then 6 months, then a year, it just continues to be more and more refined and appears more elegant. Whenever I tell people I just had my nose done, they are so impressed with how natural the result looks. I'm so happy I chose Dr. Mireas as my surgeon because my results aren't exaggerated, the nose interior and exterior healed without any complications, and I feel so much better! If I were to do this again, I would 100% trust Dr. Mireas, no doubt! Fun fact: my mother also got a septorhinoplasty from Dr. Mireas only a couple of weeks after I got mine!

I had a deviated septum, and a nose with a droopy tip and a little on the "fat eggplant" side. My ex wife is a dermatogist in a well known practice in the Boston area, and gave me several surgeons to see. My insurance would cover most of it, due to the septoplasty and my sleep apnea, but I still didn't feel that comfortable with any of the docs. As I travel often to Greece for vacation, a friend implored me to see Dr. Mireas. We had a remote consult on the phone, with video and photos. He was very thorough in his discussion with me, not rushed. He uses a diamond piezo method I learned from his website, and he explained it to me further. We met in Athens the day before surgery, and did pro-op tests. The hospital is right by the seaside, in a great area convenient to the beaches of the "Athenian riviera". Everything went well, and I had just some discomfort for a couple weeks but no real "pain" per se. The Dr though, I must say, has been excellent through the process. Once or twice I had a concern, and he was just a text message or phone call away. Try that in America with a Dr of his stature, in Greece Drs , however famous and successful, are accessible to their patients. Also, though cost wasn't my greatest consideration, the savings from doing it in USA (even with the insurance paying most of it!), paid for my tickets and airbnb in Greece. I won't be posting photos now, as I gained a little weight, but I will soon. I would say I'm 70% healed, and breathing is starting to be almost normal. The droopy nose is gone, and I don't have a fat eggplant nose anymore, LOL. I'm actually probably going to go back to Greece to do a chin implant and necklift with Dr . Mireas.

A few months ago I decided to proceed to a rhinoplasty operation with Dr. Mireas. Firstly, I have to say that the doctor gained my confidence already from the consultation. And this was because he was very explenatory of the whole process and willing to answer any questions. He advised me to do changes that suit my face and I'm really grateful for that. Regarding the operation, I must menton that it was totally painless, as after the resuscitation I did not feel any pain at all. Also, ? had not swelling and was able to get back to my daily routine right away. We removed the splint 5 days after the surgery and the result was exactly what we had agree during the consultation. And this is the most important for me because it is the evidence that the doctor has a great knowledge of his profession. Apart from the aesthetic part, my breathing improved a lot after the surgery and the postoperation instructions were really helpful. In coclusion, Dr. Mireas is a doctor who gives personalised attention to his patients before, during and after the operation!!!!

Dr.Mireas is an excellent Doctor and a surgeon with high expertise. My surgery result is amazing, exactly as we discussed and identical to what I have seen in the simulation, during my first consultation. I had breathing problems, due to repeated injuries but once I had the surgery, everything was corrected and I can breath normally again! The aesthetic result was perfect and very subtle, but what really took me by surpise was the fact that the surgery and the post operative period were totally painless! Dr.Mireas and his team were always there for my questions before surgery and during the post operative period, especially his assistant, who was very helpfull and very cordial.

1 am writing this review here because that's where I found him. Based on the other pictures and reviews that he has I would have still chosen him so I hope that I can help someone avoid that mistake. I live in Amsterdam but I am originally from Greece so I was looking for a Greek surgeon to have a rhinoplasty. 1 have been wanting to get this procedure for a very long time. Dr mireas seemed like a great fit for me. He has a lot of experience, he uses thetechnique of ultrasonic rhinoplasty and most importantly the results of other patients of his looked very natural and beautiful. The first red flag was the length of my surgery. Rhinoplasties are usually about 1-3 hours long. Dr mireas says himself on his website that he takes 4 hours maximum if a case is very complex. My surgery was six hours long which I think is absurd for a primary rhinoplasty. Other than that my recovery went well. When I got my cast off in his office my nose was very swollen but I liked it initially but when I took pictures of my profile when I left his office and I hated it. I tried to calm myself down by saying that it's just the swelling, but as time passes and the swelling is going down, his mistakes are becoming more clear. When he put my bones back together he accidentally placed them lower that they were previously which gives my nose a strange look that doesn't fit my face. It is slightly tilting to one side. My nostrils are completely uneven and one of them looks collapsed. He overall didn't do what we agreed on. I spoke to him via zoom about my issues last night. He was very defensive and kept telling me that other surgeons wouldn't spend that much time talking to a patient implving that I should be thankful that he even took the time to speak with me. He proposed a revision. I am still thinking about whether I should do it or not and I will start looking for other doctors. A revision is always more difficult than a primary rhinoplasty and I am not sure that he has the skill set to correct his mistakes. I feel completely devastated. Every time I look at my nose in the mirror or in photos I just want to cry. I put towels over the mirrors in my house so that I don't have to look at myself. Please don't make the same mistake that I made by choosing this surgeon. He completely botched me.
