Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Based off your photos - you could benefit from some chin liposuction and J plasma or some type of RFA treatment invasively to help with the skin. (I would do this and then see how you heal and if you are content no neck lift needed) Neck lift would be next option but that is also scarring behind the ear that your surgeon would discuss with you and this would ideally give you the most pull in your next to define your jaw line. As far as buccal fat removal goes - that will help slim your cheek and not address the jawline much. A mid face lift (helps with some of the jowling) and some fat rejuvenation to your malar region would help with some of the facial descent you are experiencing and also will address some of the jawline as well.
Based on these photos and short of in person evaluation, my suggestion would be an anterior neck lift with neck liposuction. In-person or teleconference consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with expertise in neck lifts is recommended. Good luck.
Lipo with Morpheus/facetite can give such a beautiful jawline under local and u r back to work in only 1 day! Almost no bruising nor swelling!
Anatomically, all necks are not created equally. That said, for you to get definition and a more acute neck angle, you would benefit from a deep plane neck lift which addresses the fat, muscles and submandibular glands beneath the skin and superficial fat. This combined with a small chin implant or fat grafting to the chin and mandibular border would make a huge difference. Buyer beware… liposuction with skin tightening will only give you modest improvement at best.
Thank you for asking,When we talk about “definition,” especially along the jawline, we’re really describing a face that is sculpted — free from excess volume, firm in its structure, and smooth in its contours. But true definition isn’t created by addressing one isolated area. It’s the result of a strategic, layered approach. The best place to begin is with an honest, thoughtful assessment of your own facial structure: where is volume collecting, how is the skin behaving, and what are your goals? For fuller faces, definition comes not from spot treatments like buccal fat removal, but from a combination of defatting the lower face and neck, tightening the deeper muscles beneath, and lifting the skin itself to reveal the angles beneath. Each layer builds on the last to create lasting refinement. In short — it’s not about a single solution, but a symphony of steps that come together to achieve definition in a way that works for each patient.
The photographs demonstrate recessive chin profile, so start by considering placement of a small chin implant to augment your chin forward for better structural support for the soft tissues in the neck. You also appear to have compartments of fat located both above and below the platysma muscle in your neck. Liposuction can only accomplish removal of the fat deposits above the muscle, which will be minimally effective. A neck lift procedure involves removal of the fat deposits both above and below the platysma muscle in addition to a platysma-plasty to significantly improve your jawline. All of this can be done through 1 inch incision under a brief general anesthesia is an outpatient procedure. Non-invasive treatments simply will be of no benefit for you.
A necklift is commonly understood as a submental incision, defatting if indicated and platysma modification, either superior suturing of the medial borders and cutting across the platysma, either partially or completely, or suturing further down and not back cutting. Liposuction is removal of...
You have redundant midline skin with minimal subcutaneous fat. The skin excess is hard to eliminate without including the incisions behind the ears/neckline as this is how we pull out the extra skin and eliminate it. Be very careful with revision surgery in the neck, especially with very thin skin!
Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong...
