Pain medication may cause nausea and should be taken with food at each dose.  If you have persistent nausea, stick to a bland diet until it subsides.  Drink beverages that contain electrolytes, such as Gatorade or Powerade.  If the dehydration continues, phone your PS's office; you may need additional IVs.

Any major surgery can cause dehydration and the body requires lots of fluids after the operation. However this can be difficult if nausea and vomiting are present. Your plastic surgeon should arrange to have you taken care of as soon as possible as you would not want to get severely dehydrated.  Medications such as Zofran, Compazine or a Scopalamine patch can be effective and prescribed by the plastic surgery.
