It is hard to know what exactly could be causing sweating of this nature without a formal history and physical.However, it is not uncommon for patients to have significant cytokine release after all kinds of surgery. This refers to an inflammatory "stress response" to surgery where patients can get sweaty and have fevers. This uses subsides in 48-72 hours but your plastic surgeon who performed the surgery is always the best option to make sure you are on the correct healing course.
