Swelling and redness after nasolabial fold juvederm filler is that normal?

I had Juvederm filler in my nasolabial folds 15h ago is this swelling and redness normal? I can actually feel that the swelling goes up towards my eye is that normal? And i can feel between my nose and cheek on top of the injected area like some sort of a mass but it feels that is spreading up is that normal?

Swelling and redness following filler injections is very common. You should allow up to 10-14 days for this to subside. If you are still worried after this time you should revisit your practitioner for a review. In the meantime ice and arnica tablets can help to reduce swelling.

Some swelling and redness is normal after filler treatment. If you have pain or the swelling and redness are worsening, then I would followup with your injector.

Some swelling is common after Juvederm.  It can persist up to two weeks.  Sometimes gentle massage of the area or cool compresses are helpful. If you still have concerns or the symptoms worsen, contact your injector for an evaluation.

Swelling and redness is quite common in the 1st 24hrs after filler-based treatment. It is unusual for the swelling to spread beyond the site of injection however. If you are concerned, I would suggest contacting your doctor/injector to discuss this further.

Thank you for your question. Swelling is to be expected for the first 24-48 hours after your procedure. Ice is helpful during the time of swelling. However, if this does continue to occur after that time frame, it would be best to contact your provider. Best of luck!

Yes, what you are describing is quite normal. Remember that Juvederm in particular is a water-loving product, so it pulls water to itself and swells. This can come and go for a bit, usually up to 2 weeks, but it's very common. Really try to keep your hands away from it and don't press on the areas. You want to let the product settle itself and not manipulate it.
