Post tummy tuck patients may have power assisted Lipo (I completed same today for a patient who had tummy tuck 18 months ago). You should wait 6-12 months before undergoing Lipo after a tummy tuck. In order to avoid an internal burn I would recommend that you consider power assisted liposuction without laser. Ideally, you would intensify your exercise regimen and follow a low sugar/salt/fat diet with the goal of avoiding any future procedures.Yours in health.
Liposuction can be performed after tummy tucks if there is fat that is accessible. However, this should not be performed for at least 6 months if not a year after tummy tucks as there is still ongoing healing. Liposuction after tummy tucks can take much longer to heal with more swelling due to the scarring of the tummy tuck. Seek out a specialist who does revision surgeries. Best of luck.
Hi Shyann,The answer is yes you can have laser/vaser/PAL/etc any type of lipo after a tummy tuck. Having said that, I would suggest waiting a minimum of 6 months post tummy tuck prior to having any liposuction if you are planning to have liposuction in the same area. If you planning to have liposuction in other areas such as the arms, back bra roll, thighs etc you can do that prior to that time frame!
Yes, you can have laser liposuction on the abdomen after a tummy tuck. At my practice I've treated a number of patients who have received a tummy tuck but due to complications or post treatment weight gain have expressed interest in laser liposuction. You must be completely healed from your tummy tuck before any type of invasive treatment like laser liposuction, typically 6-12 months post procedure. You can see a good number of liposuction-tummy tuck revisions here on RealSelf.
Yes, you can have laser lipo after a tummy tuck. Laser lipo is preferred over regular liposuction because it melts the fat and the skin can be tighten. We have done this in our office with clients.
Thank you for sharing your photo. Yes, it is possible to achieve an hour glass figure through laser liposuction, although there is no guarantee. I would need a physical examination to determine whether your fat lays above or beneath the muscle, as this plays a part in my ability to contour the...
Technically there is no limit to the number of areas that can be treated during one laser liposuction treatment, but there is a limit on the amount of fat that can safely be removed. In the state of New Jersey when you’re performing liposuction under local anesthesia, the limit is how many a...
Recovery time for laser liposuction varies from patient to patient but it is significantly quicker and easier than traditional liposuction. I perform Laser liposuction under local anesthesia, meaning you are awake but comfortable throughout your procedure. Being awake cuts down on your...
