Should be safe depending upon areas/amount to be treated, anesthesia, other factors. Dialysis before and after would have to be coordinated with nephrologist clearance. Lidocaine is metabolized by liver but still should be safely planned and may consider overnight stay.An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon is recommended to discuss your options and expectations as well as medical/nephrology clearances.

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. Liposuction is safe in patients with kidney disease, provided that medications are properly dosed to account for your decreased renal medical clearance and metabolism, you are not given too much IV fluid or tumescent fluid, and you are otherwise safe to undergo anesthesia. Any treatment plan should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon.    Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation in person with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
