Wow. Can't believe I'm a little over a week away. I've been on this site for ages and it's great. I consulted with my plastic surgeon who I've gone to for Botox, filler and IPL. I wanted to do my inner knees. That alone was $5200. He wanted to use general anesthesia and use a surgery center. I absolutely did not want to be knocked out and from everything I've read this could be an in office procedure. Once I was talking to him I asked about my inner thighs as well. Price went up to $7200. The whole thing wasn't feeling right. I don't have a lot of fat to remove BTW. This plastic surgeon as well another I used to see were very anti smart lipo. Called it gimmicky and a marketing "thing". I went to see another doctor that performs smart lipo in office. I immediately liked him and his assistant. The whole energy was different. Cost to do both inner knees and inner thighs was $3900. OMG. I couldn't believe I was making the appointment. But it felt right. Fingers crossed my intuition is spot on! I posed the question on RS and the responses confirmed my feeling the smart lipo was the way to go. Less bruising/ swelling and minimal down time. Updated on 24 Mar 2017: Well. We're here. Can't really believe. Excited and nervous. Going to take pictures in the morning. Wish me luck! Updated on 27 Mar 2017: Quite an adventure. Dr. Satchi and Rachel were amazing. Very relaxed and caring. Since I was having my inner knees and thighs done I had to lay in a frog position. That was probably the hardest part of the whole procedure. From beginning to end was about 4 hours. Honestly, there was next to no pain except my lower back and legs from staying in the same position. I felt a tiny bit of pain a few times and Dr. Satchi stopped and added more anesthesia. Very sore right after procedure, just moved very slowly. Not as much drainage as I was expecting. Slept from early evening to the next day. Stayed in bed most of the next day, napping, etc. But felt less sore. Woke up Monday morning, what a difference a day makes! I'm walking like I did a really hard workout. Still sore, but at work! Haven't really checked out the results. I don't want to have any unnecessary anxiety right now :) BUT, i did put a pair of SMALL leggings on in place of the compression suit and they went on pretty smoothly!! And, if memory serves, I couldn't really even get them on last time I checked!
I would suggest laser hair removal. A good candidate is dark hair with lighter skin. Lasers will not work on gray or blonde hair because there is no pigmentation. Usually 5 to 6 treatments are required for long lasting results. Also, it depends on the laser that is being used. The hair will grow back thinner and slower with each session. Shaving only is recommended between treatments. Any waxing, plucking or chemicals is not recommended because you do not want to take the hair out of the follicle.
Ideally, two different fillers need to be used. I would use Volbella mixed with PRP (platet rich plasma). Marionette lines and nasolabial folds need to be seen to determine the depth before deciding which type of filler will be used. If they are shallow then Vollure would work best.
I would recommend waiting up to 3 days after you get lip injections because you want swelling to be reduced. Although the uv lights shouldn't trigger any inflammation it is best to wait to be safe.
If 20 units has not given you satisfactory results then you would need to use a filler to get rid of the number 11's. Most of the time it's difficult to predict how many units are adequate. Until the units are injected and reassesed.
I would recommend to check out the years of experience the doctor has had in injecting the products. If the doctor has had years of experience then you will not look lumpy or unnatural.
