Can I achieve an hourglass figure with laser lipo, or Smart Lipo? (Photo)

An hourglass figure may be achieved with Liposuction. I favor power assisted liposculpting without use of a laser. Laser adds more time to the procedure, may be associated with internal and external burns, and has never been proven to improve outcomes. Of course you will need to continue to follow a healthy diet and exercise in order to improve upon the results you obtain after Liposuction has been completed.

Smart Lipo (laser) liposuction will remove problem areas of fat, tighten skin and contour for shape.An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs the procedure is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as well as discuss your options and expectations.

The answer is maybe.  For the "hour glass" shape to take effect your bone structure has to be small in the waist and slightly wider at the hip bones to create that dramatic effect.  To answer this question accurately, more pictures are needed!! I would see a liposuction specialist in your area to have a formal evaluation

I would need a physical examination to determine whether your fat lays above or beneath the muscle, as this plays a part in my ability to contour the body.
The fat that lays above the muscle, also known as subcutaneous fat is easy to remove and allows me to sculpt and contour the body in a way that can result in an hourglass figure.

The fat that lays beneath the muscle, is known as visceral fat. Visceral fat is stored around the organs in the abdominal region, and cannot be treated with liposuction.
I cannot make any guarantee you would be able to achieve that hourglass figure without a physical examination to determine what type of fat you have. However, you may be able to make some guesses for yourself by feeling your stomach. If your fat is soft, squishy, and easy to grab, it's subcutaneous.

Thank you for your question. An hour glass figure depens on the width of your hips , the width of the bottom of your rib cage and the configuration of the muscles running between the two. Liposuction will not change this basic anatomy and cannot create an hour glass figure. With abdominoplasty the abdominal muscles can be tightened to narrow the waist some.
