I didn't get great results with Coolsculpting the 1st time. The office offered a 2nd session for a discounted cost. I wondered if combining two treatments would yield a better result. Or, would it cause tissue damage or deformity.

Answer: Minimal results following one session Hello LHB RDH, Your CoolSculpting office likely recommended two sessions for a reason. I would proceed with their advice. If you were a better surgical candidate I would think they would have counseled you appropriately before hand. Best of luck, Oscar A. Aguirre, MDUrogynecologist & Cosmetic Surgeon

Answer: CoolSculpting combined with liposuction Dear LHB_RDU:You will want to consult a dermatologist or plastic surgeon who will perform a complete evaluation, and recommend either liposuction or a series of CoolSculpting treatments. CoolSculpting is best for those who have localized areas of excess fat, and for those who would not want to have surgery. Generally, those individuals who are very overweight will do better with liposuction, as long as they are good candidates for a surgical procedure and can accept the increased risk of side effects. Some liposuction patients have CoolSculpting afterwords to reduce fat in areas that are not safe to treat with liposuction, such as the upper abdomen, or to smooth over ridges that can occur with liposuction, but in general it is best to choose one or the other approach. All the best, Dr. Clark

Answer: Combination with coolsculpting Coolsculpting works well if your a good candidate. If your bmi is above 28 then frequently a second session is needed for better results . Combo treatments can be done, but there is no protocol on treatment regimen. No one really knows for sure how effective combining modalities will translate into results. When medical device companies perform tests required for FDA approval, they do not use other machines in combination. There is limited medical literature on combo devices, mainly because the technology changes fast. So any combo treatment you do will just be supported by anadocteal evidence from the physicians theory or experience. We don't do " i-lipo" but from what I've heard many patients who have tried it, they were not pleased with results.

Answer: CoolSculpting CoolSculpting is truly an amazing option. We almost always overlap the applicators to get 2 treatments in the first session, and a second session will bring even more results, skin looks better as well. I would make sure the office is coolsculpting certified, and they have attended coolsculpting university. Really makes a difference to be well trained.
