I just had CoolSculpting done yesterday and today I had a very adhesive clear discharge coming from my vagina and then later on a lot of somewhat foamy discharge and I do mean quite a lot. Is this normal or should I be concerned

Answer: Coolsculpting Coolsculpting is an excellent form of non-invasive fat reduction for the right patient. It doesn't cause discharge.I would contact your OBGYN doctor to discuss your symptoms. Here is a little bit more information about coolsculpting:Some applicators take 1 or 2 hours but the new advantage applicators take only 35 minutes and have significantly less risk for delayed onset pain (especially in the abdomen). Results are seen at 2 months and typically 1-3 treatments will be necessary on each area to achieve ideal results. The number of treatments depends on the amount of fat there and the patient's goals. There is not downtime and the results can be impressive in the right patient. We also use the Zimmer Z-wave for improved patient comfort and added results. The best candidates are those who are in pretty good shape with areas of stubborn fat that won't go away no matter what. My best, Sheila Nazarian, MD, MMM Beverly Hills, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Coolsculpting Side Effects & Results--Add Radiofrequency, Thermage, Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra This wouldn't be a typical side effect after Coolsculpting and is most likely unrelated. If it persists, I recommend following up with your Doctor. For best results with Coolsculpting, I recommend a combination approach. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. VASER with ThermiRF is an alternative. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Discharge after Coolsculpting Most women experience vaginal discharge as part of a natural process associated with their menstrual cycle or during times of intimacy. If discharge is heavier than normal, thick in consistency, or is noted with a foul odor, a yeast or bacterial infection may be to blame. The Coolsculpting treatment should not cause or increase discharge. If you continue to experience these symptoms, or if they worsen, you should schedule an appointment with a gynecologist for an examination.
