Will Natrelle 375cc moderate will be too small for me? (photos)

Question

I'm 5'3 and weight 135lbs, 20 y/o, no kids. My breast may look bigger than the other but the Dr said they measure the same both sides. I originally picked 375cc moderate, but I'm not sure if it will achieve the round look and cleavage I want. Also, I don't really want a huge implant, I want something to be noticeable, but not obvious enough to tell I have implants since very far away. I want a more medium-big look. I want other opinions to know what to ask for in my next appt. Have a good day!

After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon' s experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them. Implant volume is secondary to appearance, so why not try on all the implants in the range appropriate to your breast width and pick the one that you think looks best and suits you best.  The pic shown would require a really big implant to get that kind of cleavage for your physique and that does not sound like what you  want.  You may have to accept some trade-offs. I think you are on the right track with 375, so as long as the implant diameter fits inside your breast base you can go larger.

Your breasts are widely separated and the nipples are slightly pointing outward. Implants only will be satisfactory. The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, fat transfers or small implants can be placed totally submuscular.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Breast implant selection is an exciting, but stressful part of the breast augmentation process as there are so many choices. Unfortunately it is impossible to recommend the best implant style, size or shape without an in-person examination that allows for the measurement of key breast parameters, as well as permits an in-depth discussion as to your desired goals and outcome. I would recommend continuing to discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon or seek additional consultations to ensure that the implants you decide upon are the right ones to meet your expectations. Based on your goal images I would anticipated needing a full profile or ultra high profile implant. Best wishes!

It is really difficult to answer your question as there is a lot that goes into sizing our patients.  We perform measurements, evaluate the skin envelope elasticity, look at photos, look at what the patient came up with the rice test, look at diagrams and finally use the Allergan sizing system to size the patient in the office.  We obviously listen and discuss exactly what the patient wants and doesn’t want so that we can deliver the expected results.
Judging by the photos you have chosen, it does appear that the patient has a very rounded look with good upper pole fullness.  A moderate implant will provide a more natural look and not so rounded as your wish photos.

breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

Your goal photo has the look of High Profile implants, nit Moderate. I would have another discussion with your surgeon- you need an implant in High Profile that is wide enough to fill in your large gap and give you nice cleavage- perhaps 425-500cc?

375 cc is already a relatively big size. most of the implants I put in are 250-350. it's all relative to your body size and chest size. You're not very tall so this should be more than good enough to get you a moderate to large size chest for your body type. More would likely be too much on your breast tissue and just lead to breast atrophy over time instead of a great outcome. Trust your surgeon and ask questions you are curious about. I would ask him or her what they would recommend for your body type. If the person recommends something much smaller than you originally thought, it may be for very good reason.

Might recommend 400-450 cc moderate profile + implant smooth shell. But you are wide set so do not expect a cleavage as in your wish pic.
