Thank you for your question. Patients commonly ask how long eyelid surgery will last. because tissue is being removed, one will always look better than they would have had they not had the surgery. We are fortunate that eyelid changes do not occur as rapidly after surgery as changes in other areas might. Prices vary based on local market, surgeon and procedure so I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,
In our practice, upper and lower eyelid surgery takes approximately one hour under general anesthesia performed in our outpatient surgery center. This is not performed in the office. The cost of upper or lower eyelid surgery is directly related to the amount of time it takes to perform the procedure in a formal operating room, time monitored under anesthesia by a physician anesthesiologist, and the surgeon's professional fees for performing the surgery, in addition to all of the postoperative follow-up appointments. For more information, many examples, and our current price list, please see the link and the video below
That is a very low price! I am in Nashville and charge $2000 for the uppers and $3000 for the lowers for a total of $5000. My prices are all inclusive. There is no extra charge for anesthesia or OR facility. You should always ask about this prior to booking. The procedure does take about 1 hour.
The operative time depends on your anatomy and what is needed to achieve your goals. The costs vary based on where you are located, the type of anesthesia used and the surgery required. I would recommend you discuss these issues with the surgeon, but consider getting a second opinion from another board certified plastic surgeon to compare. Good luck.
I agree your right upper lid has more lid fold and your left eyebrow is higher than the right. An examination in person would be required to determine if you truly have ptosis... An easy but temporary fix would be a trial of Botox above the left brow to match up the brow position. If you are...
I'd recommend against any surgery but would have you consider botulinum injections using either Botox or Xeomin for a result that should last for approximately 3 to 4 months. This should be quite effective and will allow you to test the degree of satisfaction you get from having your brows in a...
Having done many orbital decompression I would not do one for purely cosmetic reasons. The potential risks outweigh the potential benefits.
Hello,Sorry you had a bad experience. Looks like you have some hemosiderin staining after all that bruising that occurred. It is basically a build-up of old blood particles that have stayed stagnant and stained the skin, creating a dark hue. I suggest looking into certain lasers that are me...
This is a good question. This is common in the aging face. The Mid Face ages with flattening out of this area and descent of the Fat Pad. As this occurs, it ages the person and makes them look TIRED. There are several ways to correct this problem. When flattening occurs in this area, a Goo...
I'm not certain that is extra skin. You are only 5 weeks out and you still have some swelling. Let your surgeon examine you. The eyelid will continue to look better for at least another month. I understand that it's difficult to go out when things don't look perfect, but try to be patient.Andrew...
