Staining under eyes after injections, looks like permanent bruising ? Seven weeks after!
Answer: Hemosiderin Staining Hello,Sorry you had a bad experience. Looks like you have some hemosiderin staining after all that bruising that occurred. It is basically a build-up of old blood particles that have stayed stagnant and stained the skin, creating a dark hue. I suggest looking into certain lasers that are meant to remove vascular lesions. These lasers can help break up the "old blood" and relieve some of the darkness it has created. At our office, we use the V-Beam or Yag lasers at a light setting in order to fix an issue like this. In fact, we sometimes use these lasers to help prevent bruises from worsening and to help clear them up faster after injections.Best of luck,Dr. Alexander Rivkin

Answer: Bruised and swollen after injection Dear Stacee131324,I am sorry you had a bad experience. The bruising you have will go away with time and may take up to a few weeks to fully go away. There are lasers that can help speed up the recovery process. For next time, ask your injector to use a cannula instead of a needle in order to reduce any swelling and bruising. Hope this helps!Best regards,Nima Shemirani

Answer: Filler complications The filler you had must have been placed with a needle in an area, the lower eyelid that is extremely thin and vascular. That is why I never use needles and use cannulas that avoid the complication you had. The bruises of course will go completely and the residual pigmentation is much more persistent but eventually should also disappear. I would continue checking with your doctor on what he advises. Good luck

Answer: Bruising after Tear Trough Injection with Fillers-Use Cannulas You can have this reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. I recommend injections with cannulas to limit bruising. VBeam treatments will give improvement to the bruising. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Bruising Hi, Thanks for your question and sharing your pictures. It appears you had a significant bruising after your injections. This can take several weeks to completely resolve. I recommend you speak with your injector about the use of a laser to help expedite the clearance of the bruises (IPL/BBL or excel V). The next time you undergo injections I recommend speaking with your injector about your bruising and request they use a cannula. Use of arnica and topical vitamin K can also be helpful in preventing bruising and treating existing bruises. I'm sorry you had a bad experience and wish you all the best! Kevin Cavanaugh, MD
