Hello,Sorry you had a bad experience. Looks like you have some hemosiderin staining after all that bruising that occurred. It is basically a build-up of old blood particles that have stayed stagnant and stained the skin, creating a dark hue. I suggest looking into certain lasers that are meant to remove vascular lesions. These lasers can help break up the "old blood" and relieve some of the darkness it has created. At our office, we use the V-Beam or Yag lasers at a light setting in order to fix an issue like this. In fact, we sometimes use these lasers to help prevent bruises from worsening and to help clear them up faster after injections.Best of luck,Dr. Alexander Rivkin
Dear Stacee131324,I am sorry you had a bad experience. The bruising you have will go away with time and may take up to a few weeks to fully go away. There are lasers that can help speed up the recovery process. For next time, ask your injector to use a cannula instead of a needle in order to reduce any swelling and bruising. Hope this helps!Best regards,Nima Shemirani
The filler you had must have been placed with a needle in an area, the lower eyelid that is extremely thin and vascular. That is why I never use needles and use cannulas that avoid the complication you had. The bruises of course will go completely and the residual pigmentation is much more persistent but eventually should also disappear. I would continue checking with your doctor on what he advises. Good luck
You can have this reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. I recommend injections with cannulas to limit bruising. VBeam treatments will give improvement to the bruising. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Hi,Thanks for your question and sharing your pictures. It appears you had a significant bruising after your injections. This can take several weeks to completely resolve. I recommend you speak with your injector about the use of a laser to help expedite the clearance of the bruises (IPL/BBL or excel V). The next time you undergo injections I recommend speaking with your injector about your bruising and request they use a cannula. Use of arnica and topical vitamin K can also be helpful in preventing bruising and treating existing bruises. I'm sorry you had a bad experience and wish you all the best!Kevin Cavanaugh, MD
Hello hello...Thanks for the questions. You've got 2 big bruising on both sides and honestly I am happy with the improvement so far. Based on the pictures its very hard to say, but usually minor staining last a bit longer than seven weeks and there are couple of intervention available to be done if it lasts longer that 2-3 months. Please keep in touch with your physician and he/she will walk you through this till final resolution. I am definitely optimistic ... best of luck :)
This is a good question. This is common in the aging face. The Mid Face ages with flattening out of this area and descent of the Fat Pad. As this occurs, it ages the person and makes them look TIRED. There are several ways to correct this problem. When flattening occurs in this area, a Goo...
I'm not certain that is extra skin. You are only 5 weeks out and you still have some swelling. Let your surgeon examine you. The eyelid will continue to look better for at least another month. I understand that it's difficult to go out when things don't look perfect, but try to be patient.Andrew...
Thank you for your question. While I generally recommend that my patients refrain from all exercise and/or heavy lifting for a minimum of four weeks following their blepharoplasty procedure, it is important that you discuss any post-operative restrictions with your operating surgeon. Your ...
