Breast Explant and lift w/cardiac issues and pacemaker - how do I find a provider that specializes in high risk patients?

LisaJo52Jan 15, 2026

I'm wanting my breast implants removed with a lift. I'm 47 with several cardiac issues, alrhough I was cleared for surgery by my cardiologist. I have a pacemaker, a PVC burden, LBBB, mitral valve repair and current leak and cardiomyopathy. My surgeon who initially put in the implants 13 yrs ago attempted to do the explant/lift aurgery and it was aborted due to irregular heart rhythms once MAC was administered. In hindsight I dont think my cardiac issues and questions on pacemaker protocol (protection of wire placement, electrocauterization) were a top priority. I also think a hospital setting and possibly general anesthesia would have required for me. How do I find a surgeon qualified for high risk patients with experience in tough cases?
