Nowthat Zeltiq has come out with a number of variously sizedapplicators, I have had great success in treating arm fat on manypatients. However, the upper arms often have some skin laxity, especially in women over 50. In cases such as those, I might combineCoolSculpting with ThermiTight or even choose ThermiTight orThermi250 as an alternative fat-removal technique. In short, the bestsolution to arm fat will vary by individual. Please consult aboard-certified dermatologist so that your arm fat, skin, and musclecan all be evaluated and the best fat-removal procedure chosen foryou.
Coolsculpting can be very effective for the arms, especially now that Zeltiq has come out with new sized applicators. In certain cases, depending on each patient, I may combine CoolSculpting for fat-removal, with ThermiTight, to treat skin laxity. Every patient is different so the best solution to arm fat will vary by individual. It’s very important you consult with a board-certified dermatologist or an expert in fat removal so you receive the best treatment that is customized to you!
I prefer Coolsculpting of the arms over liposuction (even though I do both) because the slow fat loss with Coolsculpting allows time for the skin to retract. Sometimes, when the skin is not very elastic, you can get saggy looking skin after liposuction. Discuss with a plastic surgeon to see which he or she recommends.Good Luck.
CoolSculpting is now FDA approved to treat upper arm fat, and it is has been very effective in the right candidates. If the fat is localized and the skin laxity is not great, then CoolSculpting is a good option for fat reduction. Many women over the age of 50 have more skin laxity which may result in even more loose skin after treatment. Skin tightening procedures and firming lotions can help, but a personal consultation to discuss the condition of the skin would be needed to determine whether or not someone can benefit from CoolSculpting of the upper arms.
CoolSculpting can work very well to provide a 20-30% reduction in fat on the upper arms in the right candidate after one treatment. I recommend visiting a board-certified dermatologist with experience performing CoolSculpting in off-label areas such as the arms to determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure and to come up with an appropriate treatment plan.
Thank you for this question. Manyof the patients at my practice in California's Bay Area are interested inCoolSculpting to reduce fat in their upper arms. The procedure is cleared bythe FDA for treatments that reduce fat in the abdomen, flanks, thighs, andunder the chin. So treating the upper arms is what's called an"off-label" use, but it is still safe and can be effective for theright patients. CoolSculpting does not tighten skin, so patients concernedabout saggy skin on the arms are not the best candidates.
Cool sculpting can be applied to the upper arms, but it requires that an applicator be available to fit this area, which varies from patient to patient. For this reason you really do need to go in to be assessed by an experienced plastic surgeon who can properly discuss the full range of surgical and nonsurgical options with you during an in person consultation.
You can definitely get good results Coolsculpting arms, but it may take multiple treatments to achieve your desired results. The link below will show you some before and afters of arm Coolsculpting so you have an idea of what to expect.
Coolsculpting can be effective on the arms. Most people can experience a 15-20% reduction in fat per area treated. It would be important to be properly evaluated so understand if you skin would require any treatment and also if you are a good candidate for Coolsculpting vs. liposuction vs surgical arm lift
CoolSculpting can be performed on the arms, but in the United States, this is considered an off-label use. The treatment can be effective in reducing bulk due to fat in the arms, but an exam of you would be needed to determine if you might be a good candidate for the procedure.
Thank you for your question. Generally it takes up to 2 weeks for swelling, bruising and itching to resolve and several weeks for the fat cells to dissolve before seeing the final results. However, many patients have seen outstanding results within 2 weeks’ time. Best of Luck!
Thank you for your question, maryweems. Neither CoolSculpting nor SculpSure will cause arrhythmia. Both are safe, and I mention SculpSure because it is the only FDA-approved laser treatment for fat and - unlike competitors - is painless. SculpSure has defeated other competitors in all ...
CoolSculpting works very well but not that well. You can expect between 14-22% improvement in each area but that would not reduce your overall thigh size by 40% I like the optimizm in you thinking though. Good luck.
