My doc says that he can do a BBL reversal if a patient absolutely doesn't like it (rare of course, but he says it happens). My understanding is that the fat for a BBL is placed in tiny amounts into the muscle, and therefore it would be impossible to reverse. If the doc can do a reversal of his BBLs, does that mean he's placing fat in the wrong place, and only placing it under the skin?
Answer: Can a proper BBL be reversed? Thank you for your question. A "proper BBL" is enhancement of the buttocks with micro-fat grafting (placed in tiny small amounts) into the gluteus maximus muscle, the deep fat of the buttock and the superficial fat. You are right, the fat placed into the muscle cannot be removed. The fat placed in the other compartments can be removed with liposuction. I personally, had three patients, although they had excellent results, thought that their buttocks were too large. This was easily downsized with liposuction to the desired shape and size. A proper BBL does place fat into the muscle. With proper technique and understanding of the anatomy of the buttock region, this is a very safe technique. Any technique carried out by poorly trained surgeons can be dangerous, difficult to fix, unfixable or might lead to the demise of the patient. It is imperative that patients choose their surgeons who are board certified plastic surgeons with experience in advanced body sculpting techniques. Good luck.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Reversing a BBL Hi and great question.I think this is a "Yes" & "No" answer. A BBL is 2 procedures that is combined into one. The first is liposuction. This is utilized to sculpt your waist/torso/thighs. A good way to think of this is like sculpting a stone statue from a block stone. I think small touch ups could be done to the liposuction...but I do not think that portion is reversible. The Fat transfer to the butt can be reversed in that you could have liposuction performed on the butt to decrease the volume. I hope that helps. Best of luck!

Answer: BBL If the fat in the muscle it is impossible to remove by any means.First there is no reason to put fat in the muscle with BBL. It is dangerous and multiple deaths has occurred because of that.In BBL the fat is under the fascia if you are lucky and within the fat of the buttock. During reversal, by liposuction most logically, then you are liposuctioning your own fat and some of the fat that was transferred and hoping for the best.do it incrementally even if you have to do it in more than one session.

Answer: BBL can be reversed BBl can be reversed; the fact of the matter is that most of the fat is placed in the fat layer and only some can be pressed into the muscle; thus reversing your BBL will only require liposuction of the fat layer, thus removing most of the fat. Please note that you might need a tuck (i.e. lateral thigh and buttocks lift) if you are left with skin redundancy.
