Before getting my bbl they said I need to a spinal tap but I think it's something dangerous they can damage my spinal cord.

Hi and great question.A spinal tap is more commonly known as an epidural.  This is commonly given to women during childbirth.  Is a spinal tap or epidural common, No.  But, it is not abnormal.  It may be because of a medical history with you and/or the preference of the surgeon.  Most individuals I know that perform a BBL do it under general anesthesia.I hope that helps.  Best of Luck!

Thank  you for your question. Perhaps they were referring to an epidural (similar to what women get when having a baby)? I perform these procedures under general anesthesia (completely asleep). Be sure to clarify with your plastic surgeon prior to your surgery. Best of luck, Dr. Kludt
