Hi, 6months ago I had TT surgery, I also paid for vaser Lipo on the abdomen, However since the surgery there has been a distinct roll above the scar line, I have not lost weight or gained any and am wondering if the lipo was even performed? I am disapointed as it pokes through clothing and am quite conscious of it, Should the surgeon fix this? Thanks in advance.
Answer: Tummy tuck scar
I think that given it is now 6 months after your surgery the results are not likely to change much. I think that you should go back to see your surgeon to discuss it with them. Usually surgeons are very keen ensure that you are happy with results of your surgery and in this instance may consider a revision procedure to deal with your concerns.
Kind regards,
Dean

Answer: Swelling may persist for months after abdominoplasty.
The ridge of swelling above the incision is very common after abdominoplasty. On your scar is flat and white that will be the endpoint.

Answer: Is My Tummy Tuck Normal? There's a Weird Roll Above the Scar?
This is called the hanging effect of an uneven layered closure. Revision via either excision, liposuction or both can improve greatly.

Answer: Tummy tuck weird roll
Hi there Julia,
I think you have a combination of some persistant swelling and some adherence of the scar.
The good news is that it should be quite easy to fix.
My approach would be to do some liposuction to the bulge and then probably excised the scar and resuture the wound. That procedure could be done as a day case and should have a quick recovery.
I would expect that to solve the problem for you and you should get an excellent result.
Your best way forward is to see the plastic surgeon who did the original surgery and discuss it with him/her.
Best wishes

Answer: Extra fat after tummy tuck
I am sorry you are unhappy with the results of your tummy tuck. It looks to me as though you have some extra fat in the lower abdomen. At six months out form surgery, it is doubtful you will get much more improvement in the contour.
Should the surgeon fix this? It comes down to your surgeon. If you were in my practice, and you paid for a tummy tuck as well as liposuction, I would not charge you a fee. (there would be a anesthesia and OR fee).
