Dear Olund0221, As my colleagues have stated, It is unlikely that the implant you and your surgeon are choosing will cause any real noticeable distortion. Good luck. #Dr.Gervais
Based on your stating not only an implant size, but also a profile, I assume you have carefully consulted and sized with your plastic surgeon. If this is indeed the proper size for your anatomy and goals, it is unlikely to have a significant effect on your tattoo. There may be a bit of fullness starting on the front edge of your ink, but significant stretch is truly unlikely.I've done many women with tattoos on their chests and breasts, and even when they fall directly over the area of implantation, there is usually minimal distortion. As others have stated, however, no honest surgeon will be able to give you an iron-clad guarantee. But I do believe this is one thing that should be off your worry list. Cheers and Best wishes! Dr. Tholen
Hi,About half of our breast augmentation patients have tattoos, and I see by the wording this must be very dear to you. Your implant size is reasonable, and should not expand your tattoo which is more on your ribs! Good luck with your surgery. Be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon.
Stretching of your tattoo does not seem likely, although I am not sure any surgeon would be able to give you an answer with 100% certainty. The placement of the tattoo does seem far enough onto the chest wall that it will be safe, but a smaller implant might be protective. Most important is to pick an implant in conjunction with your surgeon that will meet your goals and be a safe option based upon your measurements.
are stretched out by implant but it depends on whether the implant will be under your tattoo and your surgeon should be able to help you appreciate if there is that potential for stretch due to your choices.
Based on your photo the tattoo is just off the breast and we feel you should be fine with your implant choice!
With your tattoo on your lateral chest/breast, it is quite possible that it might stretch a bit. Good luck with your surgery.
Although online consultants cannot promise you what types of effects breast augmentation surgery will have on your tattoo, it seems unlikely to me that the size of breast implant that you have selected will significantly change your tattoo. I would suggest that you communicate your goals carefully with your plastic surgeon and end up with the size/shape of breasts you are looking for; any change in tattoo shape/size should be a much lesser concern. Best wishes.
Thank you for your question. Based on your photograph it is unlikely that 300 cc moderate profile plus breast implants will stretch or deformity or tattoo. Your surgeon will be careful to avoid dissecting a pocket that far to the side of your chest.
After looking at your photograph , it appears the tattoo is not on the breast and would not be significantly changed by the implant you have selected.
I am sorry to hear about your experience. This is something that you definitely should be discussing with your surgeon. There may have been a good reason why your doctor used a different implant and you should discuss this openly and calmly.
It is not a life and death matter, but that doesn't mean you should ignore this situation and ruptured implants should be removed as a standard of care practice. For silicone implants prior to 2006, ruptures occur at rates of approximately 1-2% per year for the first ten years then markedly...
At 6 weeks to there are still early in your recovery after breast augmentation. Most patients experience continued change to a more natural appearance between three and six months after surgery. Of course please ask your plastic surgeon for a formal opinion after your examination.
