In rare cases, surgery can be associated with hair loss. If the area of hair loss is in the back of your head where there would be contact if you were lying down, it is possible that pressure on the scalp during surgery may have contributed to it. However, if that is the case, it is temporary and will resolve once the hair cycle restarts. If this continues, you may consider seeing a dermatologist.

Most likely your hair loss is the result of your pregnancy. Stress can also contribute to hair loss,and thinning. Discuss this with your OBGYN and Plastic Surgeon to determine if treatment is needed.
