That is an interesting question.  A youthful facial shape is heart-shaped, widest around the eyes with a smooth narrowing into the temples and a sharp jawline coming to a point.  We all lose volume from our temples with age, what some people call becoming a "peanut head."It sounds like you think you need temple augmentation.  This can be achieved most reliably in 2 ways.  Silicone temple implants are a predictable way to add volume to the temple.  The biggest risks are infection and asymmetry but small degrees of asymmetry are well tolerated in this area, and the risk of infection is exceedingly low because the face has such a good blood supply.  Worst case scenario, the silicone implants can be removed quite easily.  The other possibility is to have filler injections to the temple.  Sculptra is an excellent option in this area as it can be injected between the temporalis muscle (a chewing muscle) and the skull creating a very natural and predictable contour.  Sculptra should last 2-3 years.
