I had a tummy tuck Six weeks ago and I turned the wrong way yesterday and now I have pains in my tummy near my belly button.
Answer: I Think my Belly Button is a Little Infected. What Should I Do?
It is not unusual to have pain and discomfort if you strain the abdominal wall muscles after tummy tuck. The pain or discomfort will go away gradually, avoid any activity that worsens the pain. Sign and symptoms of infection are redness that expands with time, warmth to touch, drainage that is not clear (may be foul smelling) if the infection progresses you may feel ill, develop a fever (temperature more than 102) with nausea. Otherwise, you do not have an infection. If you have some of these signs of infection must see your doctor soon. I hope this was helpful.

Answer: If your think your navel is in fact that after abdominoplasty check with your surgeon.
I think it is highly unlikely that your navel would get infected six weeks after in abdominoplasty. Nevertheless, if you're concerned you should show this to your surgeon.

Answer: Tummy Tuck Infection
Sudden onset of pain adjacent to your belly button doesn't imply infection; is there such any sign of inflammation such as redness, tenderness to touch or discharge of liquid or pus? Those local signs suggest infection. Pain alone may not reflect the healing process of the muscle tightening.

Answer: I Think my Belly Button is a Little Infected. What Should I Do?
Pain can occur with such an infection but is not typically the only symptom. A call to your surgeon is my advice. Over the phone it can be decided if you need to be seen,or if treatment if indeed any is needed All the best.
