What is the best procedure to remove facial sideburns? I have thick unruly sideburns that are also super frizzy. What is the best option to remove the chin hair? I read that IPL works, but have also heard that there are possibilities of hair growing back far thicker than before. I want to remove the sideburns starting all the way from my ears :). Any help and advice would be helpful.
Answer: Lumenis Lightsheer Duet Hi CKotian With each treatment of LHR the follicles will die if they are in a certain cycle of growth. a few weeks should be between treatments to insure that the hair follicles have changed into the different cycles of growth. Which is why multiple sessions are necessary most patients will see 80-85 % reduction after 6 treatments. To learn more about this procedure, please visit our website.

Answer: Laser Hair Removal on Sideburns Hello CKotian. Lasers are an excellent option to permanently remove sideburns hair. Although it has been suggested by another practitioner, IPL is not ideal as it is not a laser and cannot remove hair as permanently or as fully as a Diode or Alexandrite laser. Usually a series of 4-8 treatments is required to achieve 75% - 95% permanent hair removal. The practitioner doing the treatment is as important or more important than the laser as you have to know how to use the laser to get the right outcome. Best of luck.

Answer: Laser hair removal is the way to go. There is a small chance that LHR stimulates hair re-growth. This is thought to be due to sub-therapeutic thermal energy delivered to nearby follicles. A study showed that hair re-growth occurred mostly in areas in which fine hair or both fine and coarse hair was present prior to initiation of treatment. Easy fix: your licensed aesthetician has to use the correct settings for your skin type while doing LHR and multiple sessions are usually required.

Answer: Laser Hair Removal Hello. Thank you for your question. IPL is a great option for hair removal. Typically, this kind of treatment is permanent. If hair grows back it is usually from hormone changes. This can also be used to remove your chin hairs.
