Which laser is better: Cynosure or Soprano? (Photo)

Question

the Cynosure Apogee Elite compared to the Soprano Ice platinum laser? I've done one treatment with the Cynosure and was painful but doable. My friend just got a treatment done with Soprano and she said it was painless. Which laser is better long term? Is the Soprano better just because it's painless but might not go deeper to the root than the Cynosure? Please help me choose which one is better.

Hello Justluv2.  The fundamental concept behind laser hair removal is to heat up the cells around the hair follicle that are responsible for new hair growth to the point where they do not function correctly any longer.  Unfortunately for patients, the temperature required to create permanent hair removal is high enough that some discomfort or pain is to be expected.  So, the idea that a laser that has no pain or discomfort associated with treatment can create permanent hair removal does not make sense to us.  You may find that lasers like the Soprano are less painful, but you will also find that they are much less effective for permanent hair removal as well.  If you are light skinned, then the Cynosure Apogee Elite is an excellent device for you.
