Can the size of my nose be reduced with facial fat removal or should I consider a rhinoplasty?

The removal of fat from the face will not effect the nose. The large size of the nasal tip and nostrils and wide nasal bones are making it look large.
Alarplasty will narrow the nostrils, Tip-plasty will narrow the tip. Osteotomies will narrow the nasal bones in the upper half.

There is no particular operation to remove fat from somebody's nose. There is a fat pad in the nasal tip, especially in people with thicker nasal skin types. Sometimes this is removed during rhinoplasty surgery to enhance tip narrowing and tip definition. In order to achieve narrowing of the upper, middle, and lower thirds of your nose, rhinoplasty surgery would be necessary. I hope this is helpful. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Hello and thank you for your question. Rhinoplasty is the only procedure that can change the shape and size of your nose. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Cartilage grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. Narrowing your mid-nasal vault would also be helpful. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. it's important to clarify that facial fat removal (such as buccal fat removal or liposuction) primarily targets areas with excess fat, like the cheeks or chin, and does not directly affect the size or shape of the nose. The nose itself is primarily composed of bone, cartilage, and skin, with very little fat tissue. Therefore, facial fat removal will not reduce the size of your nose.
If your goal is to reduce the size or reshape your nose, a rhinoplasty would be the more appropriate procedure. Rhinoplasty is specifically designed to alter the structure of the nose by addressing issues with bone, cartilage, and skin, allowing for a more precise modification of the nose's size and shape.
