Chance of ear re-protruding years after Otoplasty due to injury? Advice?

Hoping someone can calm my anxiety. I had Otoplasty done about 16 years ago and had little to no complications after. Last week as I was getting into my car, I banged my left ear REALLY hard on the top of the window. There has been no visible sign of injury, but my ear was sore for a couple days after, and ever since there have been very strong pulling/stretching sensations in the ear. What are these that I’m feeling? Could my ear be trying to “pop” back out?

By this time your ear should be resilient enough to resist the effects of a hit. The sensations you’re feeling may be swelling, but it’s difficult to say without an exam. If you are concerned you should see your surgeon for an assessment.

You need not worry about relapse of your otoplsdty done 16 years ago. The ear is long healed and will not relapse. It is impossible to tell without a clinical examination what your pulling sensations cause is. If you are concerned see a surgeon to help answer those questions.

If you did any damage you would be able to see it. Only time will tell but I think it will be fine. You probably just bruised your ear but didn’t damage the surgery
