Mopping after lift and augmentation: I am 13 days post-op.

Question

Augmentation only 120 cc. I’ve had very little discomfort and zero pain. At 9 days I mopped my floor very slowly, but have been told by others that I shouldn’t? Can someone advise what type of cleaning activity is acceptable?

Do not overdo the physical activity until your PS approves so that your incisions can heal and strengthen.  In uneventful healing, I will allow my patients to return to strenuous exercise with a limit of lifting 10 -15 pounds six weeks following a breast lift and augmentation.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Your surgeon is your best resource for post operative care and instructions.   In general, at 2 weeks post op is is fine to do light housekeeping.
