Loud sounds of crackling/popping: The noises came from the side of my breast.

Thanks for the question.Noises, such as crackling, popping and squishing, are common after breast augmentation. During surgery, the surgeon creates a breast pocket space. Initially, the space has a small amount of air and blood/serum inside it. When the implant moves in the pocket, noises can occur. The good news is that the fluid and air are absorbed in the first month or two and the noises go away.Good Luck!

It's not uncommon to have some air trapped in the breast pocket after the implant is placed leading to what you described. Best thing to do is contact your PS for an evaluation.  Good luck and hope this helps!  

In some patients, after a breast augmentation a "snap crackle pop" sound can happen, and be completely normal. Other times, this sound can be indicative of internal stitches that have broken due to over activity. It depends on what was done and how you look on exam. You should ask your surgeon, who can give you more clarity as he/she performed the surgery. Good luck.
