Pinched boxy tip redefinement (Photo)

Hi there! A boxy tip can occur if the cartilage underneath is too refined and pointed in combination with thin skin. This problem can be very challenging. In revision surgery, the tip would be deconstructed to a more natural shape using suture and cartilage. This doesn't necessarily mean removing cartilage - if anything, it means adding some to provide better support. In addition, camouflage grafts over top such as temporalis fascia will help to prevent any excess definition from occurring long term. By doing so, the boxy tip goes from square to a gentle triangle.
