Lumps on your stomach after lipo can happen with any technique including smart lipo. They can also appear if you gain weight after surgery. Lipo lumps can be fixed with smart lipo, vaser lipo, regular lipo, etc if the surgeon is skilled with the use of any of these tools. If it's the result of weight gain, go on a diet.
I find that revision often needs VASER to fix it. I never found smart liposuction to be that effective I still use it for certain areas but think that revision needs a very meticulous type of surgery with fat grafting to fix irregularities. Best, Dr. Emer.
Smartlipo is a minimally invasive technique which has been especially designed to break down fat cells and come up with firmer skin. The best candidates for Smartlipo are women and men who are not significantly overweight. A consultation with a Smartlipo physician (Plastic Surgeon) can provide you with the best information. If you have lumps in your stomach area it is very difficult to fixed specially if you never did what most surgeons recommends for patients Lymphatic massages. Please make sure you contact your surgeon to do a follow-op visit. Good Luck
Hi there,It is very difficult to fix issues that happened when a previous liposuction wasn't performed correctly. Sometimes, there are simply lumps that occur even with good technique (we aren't all perfect!). So it is very difficult to say. SmartLipo is great but it is just a tool and the most important part about it is the person who is behind the cannula (the surgeon) and his/her skill. Sadly, most people think it is the tool that counts but that couldn't be further from the truth. We see this all the time with patients who go to 'cheap' liposuction places that advertise based on cost and then suffer terrible consequences. Good luck!
As you can see no one is eager to answer this question. The reason is it's completely dependent on an in person touch and feel consultation with an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon. Depends on the degree of the problem you have and the skin tone etc. I've seen situations like this where the laser did help but not always. Good luck on your research.
Your underlying problem is a lack of effective eating habits. "Eating healthy" is a useless pursuit if you have no strategy for the balance of healthy foods and appetite control. Lipo will not help you lose weight ever and will not give lasting cosmetic results if your eating habits remain the...
Laser companies are always coming out with the latest and greatest different wavelengths primarily to sell more lasers. The sad truth is that lasers add little if anything to conventional liposuction properly performed and choosing between surgeons on the basis of lasers is barking up the wrong...
If you've had a cesarean, wait 6 months for lipo at or around the abdomen. If not, 3 months should be sufficient for your pregnancy changes to revert back to normal. If you're breastfeeding, wait until your done before undergoing lipo.
